I've driven up and down the East Coast a few times. Travel options get a bit restrictive when traveling with a dog. Good thing we both love a road trip!
I’m thinking of doing a collab with my best friend on a “How It Should Have Ended” video series — leave me alone message in my socials if there’s a book or show you’d like to see my take on. ;)
On my shelf
Just Finished: Piranesi by Susanna Clarke (it’s been a few months and I still can’t stop thinking about it) and Howl’s Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones
Currently Reading:The Southern Reach by Jeff VanderMeer, The Good House by Tananarive Due, The Dark Tower by Stephen King, and Authority by Jeff VanderMeer
Currently Re-reading: Persuasion by Jane Austen
Need Someone to Write: A sequel to Persuasion where Elizabeth gets a redemption arc.
About me
I work with rising talent to hone the pacing, plot arcs, world building, and character development in their fiction and narrative nonfiction manuscripts and outlines.
As a writer and developmental editor, I combine my skills in teaching with my expertise in effective storytelling to do what I love: help writers tell great stories. My approach to giving feedback is people-focused, with an emphasis on constructive and empathetic guidance.
On who you’re working with
To get into the zone when writing an original character or world building, I like to create a playlist as though I'm curating a soundtrack for the movie adaptation. Highly recommend, especially if you do your best brainstorming while going on long walks or at the gym.
